Thank you for registering for fall classes at Grand Rapids Gymnastics Academy. We are looking forwards to a busy year at the gym and wanted to send out a few updates and reminders as we head into the school year.
We are continuously monitoring the Covid-19 situation and we do not have any policy changes for September. We will not be requiring masks for the gymnasts. We ask that any unvaccinated adults who enter the building please wear a mask.
For all recreational classes ages 5 and up, that are held in the downstairs big gym, we will continue to allow one spectator to view classes one-time per four-week session. We were able to be relaxed on this during the summer sessions because we typically only had one class running in the gym at a time. However, during the fall session there are multiple classes that overlap and we will need to monitor the lobby viewing area more closely to ensure we can continue to offer spectator viewing.
We have created a viewing sign-up link for spectators to register for one-hour time slots on their desired date. We ask that you stop at the desk to check-in upon arrival for your reserved time. We will have 12 spots available per hour.
Pre-k classes for gymnasts ages 2-5 will also not have any changes to our viewing policy. All pre-k gymnasts are allowed one adult with them per class. Unfortunately, we are still unable to allow siblings upstairs in the pre-k gym viewing area during class.
We hope that as the school-year progresses, we can loosen up on these restrictions but in order to allow viewing, we will be continuing with our same viewing policies from the summer sessions.
Also, we now have seating inside the gym area for gymnasts waiting for their class to begin. Gymnasts should find a spot to sit and wait in the gym area when they arrive for class. Please remind your child that they need to stay seated and cannot be doing gymnastics until the coach begins their class.
Thanks, Andrea and Patrick GRGA
